Anthropologie Wish List

1.) Wrap Around Blouse-$98 2.) Tsuru Blouse $118 3.) Obi Trousers $128 4.) Eastward Dress Coat $288 5.) Quintessential Shift $198

Sometimes I scroll through Anthropologie's website and don't find a thing. Other times, I covet every single design. Right now is one of those times. And unfortunately my minimum-wage-paying internship doesn't support my Anthropologie addiction. Should I have a sudden windfall, these are investment pieces at the top of my wish list. Seriously--how gorgeous is that shift dress?

Readers, what shopping addictions do you possess?  What's at the top of your wish list?

Taste Test (Wednesday): Maryland Crabs

Last weekend I went to visit my boyfriend in Baltimore, which will henceforth be known as the surface of the sun. It was literally over 100 degrees every day I was there. But Saturday night we managed to escape the heat with a trip to Captain James Crab House for a dozen steamed Maryland crabs, a bowl of coleslaw, a basket of hush puppies and two swiftly melting ice waters.

It was my first experience eating whole crabs, and let me tell you, it was not a pretty sight. At first the hammer was a bit unwieldy, but I eventually got the hang of it and only mashed my thumbs once or twice. A barbaric, labor-intensive project, cracking open the crabs was a struggle, but oh-so worth it when i finally got to the meat inside.

Readers, have you eaten crab before? What's your favorite summer dish?

A Movie Star in the Making

Y'all. I am a movie star.

Ok, that's a gross exaggeration, but this weekend, as my friends and I strolled through Central Park, we were asked to be in a commercial for Oxfam America!

Oxfam is an international non-profit fighting poverty and injustice through partnerships in 98 countries worldwide. An incredible organization, Oxfam promotes education and gender equality, supports local groups working to prevent HIV and AIDS in Africa and administers emergency support to victims of political and natural disasters among many other worthwhile efforts. Click over to their website to learn more about the organization and how you can help.

Obviously, we couldn't turn down the opportunity to help out a great cause and get our 15 minutes of fame in the process. I'm not sure if you can see our faces in the video because we were holding umbrellas and they were shooting from above, but either way, it was a great experience.

They didn't know when the video would be ready, but as soon as I see it, I'll be sure to post it here on Style of a 20 Something. The coordinator mentioned the commercial was for a campaign to gain more fans on Facebook so go "Like" the Oxfam fan page! Click here for a link!

Graduation Quotation

Hello readers! I know I've been rather MIA lately, but I've been extremely busy with my final final exams and graduation celebrations. Later this week, I promise I'll begin posting regularly again, but until then, I'll tide you over with a quote from Wake Forest's graduation speaker, Indra Nooyi, CEO of Pepsi Co. and arguably the most powerful woman in business today.

"Whether it’s your first job or your dream job. Whether you’re running a business or running a photo copier, your effort has always got to be 110% be the best you can be at the task at hand."
