Graduation Quotation

Hello readers! I know I've been rather MIA lately, but I've been extremely busy with my final final exams and graduation celebrations. Later this week, I promise I'll begin posting regularly again, but until then, I'll tide you over with a quote from Wake Forest's graduation speaker, Indra Nooyi, CEO of Pepsi Co. and arguably the most powerful woman in business today.

"Whether it’s your first job or your dream job. Whether you’re running a business or running a photo copier, your effort has always got to be 110% be the best you can be at the task at hand."

A handful of reminders!

Hello readers! I know it's been a while, but I haven't abandoned this blog! After a week of midterms, a trip to New Orleans during Mardi Gras and a quick visit to Houston with my grandma, I'm back! This week I'll be sharing photos from my adventures along with some spring break-inspired posts!

As for today, I wanted to remind you first and foremost about daylight savings time! If you haven't already sprung forward, be sure to change your clock ASAP. And wouldn't it be nice to change a watch as cute as one of these! (Left, Center, Right)

Second, Target's Go International re-release collection hits stores and the internet today. Hopefully the store back in Winston-Salem has the full collection--I might have to go straight there from the airport! If you have your eye on a particular dress be sure to shop early--I have a feeling this collection is going to sell out quickly! I like the look of this Proenza Schouler number and this simple dress by Tucker. Readers--What are your favorite looks from the line?

Also--if you like reading my blog, I'd love if you'd "follow" it--just click the button on the right hand side of the page! And if you have twitter, click here to follow me!

It's almost spring break...

and I'm going to Mardi Gras! Right now I'm in the middle of midterms, but come Saturday, I'm headed to the Big Easy. I've never been to New Orleans before, much less Mardi Gras so I'd appreciate any and all advice (especially about what to wear)! Leave me a note in the comment section!

College readers--Where are you headed for Spring Break?

Last First Day

(Headband: Anthropologie, Scarf: American Eagle, Coat: Old Navy, Jeans: AG Stevie, Boots: Banana Republic)
I can hardly believe today is my last first day of class. Even with a two-hour snow delay, it's finally hitting me that I'm a second semester senior. Temperatures today hovered around freezing, so I bundled up with a new coat that cut the cold, but nothing could protect me from wiping out in the parking lot :(

Bliss Offers Discount for Stressed Out College Students!

As my first exams of the semester quickly approach, all talk of a "senior slide" has gone out the window. Fortunately, beauty retailer Bliss (home of my favorite Body Butter) is offering stressed-out co-eds the opportunity to relax on a budget. Just bring your student ID into any Bliss Spa for 20% off a service.

If you're like me and don't live near a Bliss Spa, try not to feel too left out. There's a current promotion on the website for 15% off any Bliss, Laboratoire Remède or Elemis products with the code OCT10. Be sure to shop quickly-the online promotion only runs through September 23rd.
