Pretty Purple Manicure

Is there anything better than a freshly-painted manicure? This purple hue is OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender. I was tempted by Spa Cleo's gel manicure, but chickened out last minute.

Readers, are gel nails worth it? Do they really last longer than a regular manicure? I haven't tried the phenomenon yet--have you?
