My most recent purchases! July is the month for sales. Retailers mark down summer merchandise in order to make way for fall, which translates into big savings for shoppers. I hope y'all have been taking advantage, I definitely have!
My first purchase is a black Theory pencil skirt from The Cotton Mill Lifestyles. The boutique is moving in with its sister store, and in order to clear out inventory, they're letting high-quality pieces go for extremely good prices. Looking to the future, I'll need a more work-appropriate wardrobe so I snapped up this investment piece without breaking my budget. If you're in the Nashville area, The Cotton Mill's moving sale will continue into early August.
My second wardrobe addition is also from The Cotton Mill. This strapless Milly top will look equally cute with jeans and a belt as it will with a high-wasted skirt. It's pretty one-seasonal, but hopefully I'll get some use out of it before the weather turns cold. What can I say? I couldn't resist a sale!
I was in the mall yesterday for my favorite book store's celebration of To Kill a Mockingbird's 50th anniversary, and I couldn't help but pop into GAP after I saw their "Buy One Get One Free" sign. All t-shirts, blouses, and cardigans were buy one get one free! I picked up some basics including a couple of the brand's "Favorite V-Neck T" and the red-and-white striped number pictured above. Paired with dark skinny jeans and flats I think it'll be effortless-Parisian chic.
I can hardly believe this is already my 50th post-- when I get to 100 posts, I'm hosting a give-away! Be sure to become a follower of my blog so you can enter to win!
