I came home from work today to find my mom waiting with a fun surprise:
Emi-Jay Hair Ties! She read about them in the August 2010 issue of
Marie Claire and decided to give them a try. These stretchy strips of fabric already have a celebrity following and promise they won't leave a pesky dent in your hair. Designed by two L.A. teens, the bands cost $9.95 for a pack of five and come in a variety of colors including the summer and pearl collections pictured above. While they are a bit pricey, the bands can double as a fun bracelet, and Emi-Jay supports several charities including Locks of Love, Project Knapsack, Toys for Tots, Partners in Health/Haiti and The Zimmer Children's Museum.
