Taste Test: Haute Dog

I'm not sure if hot dogs will ever be considered gourmet cuisine, but the ones from Baltimore's Haute Dog come pretty darn close. The tiny stand alongside Bonjour Bakery & Cafe on Falls Road offers fancy franks with house-made sauces tucked inside skinny loaves of French bread.

Whenever I'm in Charm City I order a Signature dog with tomato and onion jam, bacon and onion marmalade and Dijon mustard, but if you're brave, give the spicy Italian a try. I've heard raves reviews.

For specials, check out @hautedogcarte, and if you're in the Baltimore area, visit Haute Dog daily for lunch from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
